Bill Williams National Wildlife Refuge - near Parker Dam - Kayaking Lake Havasu

We depart Quartzsite and as we are leaving the area we sadly say good-bye as we honestly don't know when we will be back. One last drive through the town.

Kuehn Street, Quartzsite

The wind forecast is great today for kayaking on Lake Havasu so we head to the Bill Williams NWF to launch. We are able to get our trailer right to the water for easy unloading and access.

Easy launch :)

Lake Havasu
Since we just kayaked at Mittry Lake through the reeds and birds, we opt to head upstream to kayak around the islands and shoreline. It is so nice to be out here in calm weather.

Homes with amazing views.

7 km Kayak went by in the blink of an eye.

Mango is really bright!

We head to the Steps State Trust land for the night and have a quick sundowner with Ben and Trisha, friends we have met along the way from Saskatchewan.
