Kofa National Wildlife Refuge

We pack up late in the day and head north up highway 95 about an hour to Kofa National Wildlife Refuge. This helicopter is sitting at the Yuma proving ground entrance but Sheila snags this cool photo making it appear like its swooping close to our road and other traffic....lol

Helicopter coming in for a landing!

Kofa National Wildlife Refuge is a huge area with lots of free camping. We decide to head up the King Canyon road rather than the Palm canyon road we have stayed on many times over the years.

Monument sitting at entrance.

View out our back trailer window once set up....sweet!

We do a quick walk up to the top of the small knoll out our back. Nice view of our spot.

Our rig in the setting sun.
