This entire cross Canada trip is about seeing Canada and hoping to experience some unity in our nation. Canada Day will be being celebrated across the entire country and likely with even more gusto due to Trumps attempts to make Canada the 51st state.
Our day starts early with a bike ride out to the highway and back with my brother Garith and his grandson Jasper. Jasper is 6 years old and can he ever fly on his bike.

My home town of Breton has had a big Canada Day celebration as long as I remember and we are happy to attend this years events with family. It's great to see long time friends and faces from the past...many I don't even recognize :)

The parade is quite long for a tiny town and it gets backed up here and there so photo opportunities with the parade participants is easy.

After a full day in town we head back to Garith and Eileen's farm for an evening of good food, a campfire and music. Another great day with the family.
