The marsh trail hooks into the South Lake Trail just a couple km ride away.
The trail narrows to a12 or so foot wide ribbon of land that separates Clear Lake from South Lake.
We have a picnic lunch out on a sandy spit and watch the Terns on their little island.
We continue biking out to Camp Wasagaming. As we bike through, Chris immediately spies a backgammon board on a random guys table. He approaches him and asks if he'd like to play a game :)
Lorne claims to be a newbie to the game but accepts and they have a game. Lorne gets a lot of really great rolls and ends up gammoning Chris....lol All good, just a great experience out here.
We decide this is as far as we'll go down the trail. The return trip is just as nice :)
On our way back we ride through what used to be Clear Water Campground, until people started slowly bringing in small shacks that soon became a little home brought in to now beautiful homes all slammed in like the old campground. It would be a great family thing to own and return to year after year on this wonderful lake.
Back to the RV and we put on our swim suits, grab our books and a tea and head to the beach. With no power boats allowed the lake is pristine and quiet. We are absolutely able to relax for a few hours before Sheila musters up the courage and goes for a swim. It's a cool entry but really nice and refreshing.
Supper in our mesh net tent. It's exceeding any thoughts we had on it
Just being able to sit with no mosquitos or fly's to swat away from our food is great.
We have a long day of travel and stops planned for tomorrow so we put everything away before we walk down to watch our final sunset on Clear Lake.
Riding Mountain National Park and Wasagaming are true gems we will remember:)
