Good-bye Manitoulin Island - East To Sudbury, Ontario

Craig with our tray of goodies on the dock
Last nights plans of the chocolate cake dessert on the dock with coffee and tea before breakfast come to fruition. What a glorious morning and final sharing of laughs and time together.

Georgia's favorite spot in the sun

Cactus flowering on their front porch - gorgeous

After a late breakfast we start packing up. A couple last pictures of Georgia and the blooming flowers and we are ready to roll.

We'd love to stay longer as it has been so much fun here, but this country is big and we have a schedule we have to stick to in order to pull the trip off. Ciao until next time.

Trans-Canada west and east - We head east.
We retrace our route and time the Little Current Swing bridge just right to get us off island and back onto the Trans-Canada heading east to Sudbury.

Sudbury, Ontario
It was around 3 pm before we pulled away from Maurianne and Craig's, so we get to Sudbury with no time to stop anywhere on the way in since Costco closes in half an hour.

Two industrial stacks of Sudbury
Driving into town we immediately see the two prominent stacks. They are remnants of the city's mining and smelting history. One is the Inco Superstack currently being dismantled and the other is the Copper Cliff Smelter stack still being used today. Unsure exactly which is which as we drive into the city.

We get in and out of Costco just in time with our propane tanks full and groceries topped up. We are in need of a quiet evening so we hit the bed early. Another day flown by.
