| Trek Marlin 6 Gen 3 |
The day is spent getting me a new bike. Chris is wonderful at researching bikes and all the pros and cons of various models. We head to Rebec and Kroes bike shop as the tech there is so helpful on the phone and really seems to knows his stuff. After a few test rides, I choose the Trek Marlin 6 Gen 3 as my new ride. It is a sister bike to the one I just lost, even the same color, which I love, but with a slightly different target market than my former Trek Roscoe 7 that I bought 6 years ago when I was mountain biking frequently with my Spin Sisters bike group. These days I've toned my riding down but still want to do some off road trails. I hope it takes me as many miles as my last bike did :)
Back at the RV we go for a quick spin on the bikes. So far so good on my choice. In the big picture of life, it is just a bike, our possessions pale in comparison to what really matters :)
We sit with a G&T and enjoy the Rideau Canal sunset.
